Wexford’s food reputation is growing at a pace. And it’s no wonder, there’s food markets and festivals galore, incredible local produce and dining destinations popping up everywhere. And since 2011, the Wexford Food Family brings together the best of the best – the pinnacle of Wexford food produce. Here’s just a few of our favourites.

Ballycross Apple Farm
A visit to Ballycross Apple Farm in Bridgetown, Co. Wexford is an absolute treat! They grow a variety of delicious apples and pears across their five kilometers of orchards. From fresh juices to chutneys and seasonal honeys, their produce is nationally acclaimed – we’d highly recommend a trip.

Wild About
Wild About create artisan food products that celebrate the seasonal ingredients sourced locally from their farm in Gorey, Co. Wexford. Chutneys, preserves, dressings… It’s all natural, produced by hand in small batches. With a bunch of national awards and accolades, we give Wild About the Drover Foods stamp of approval.

Duncannon Smokehouse
Duncannon Smokehouse began way back in 1947. Since then it’s been passed down the generations but the handcrafted process remains the same. The result is a 100% pure and natural smoked seafood range that’s known and loved the world over.

YellowBelly Craft Bear
For YellowBelly, it all started in May 2015 beneath Wexford’s brewpub Simon Lambert & Sons. And from there they’ve really gone from strength to strength – national distribution, a bunch of industry awards and a reputation for pretty incredible craft beer.  Our pick is the Strawberry Sour which does justice to Wexford’s impressive strawberry reputation!

The Bakehouse
The smell of freshly baked bread wafting through the air. Pies, soups and freshly made sweet treats… at The Bakehouse, New Ross, everything is made from scratch, on premises, every single day. It’s a family run bakery with a devotion to creating proper, home cooked Irish food.
